Who We Are

The Stormwater Utility is a division of the City of St. Cloud's Public Utilities Department. The City's stormwater system consists of approximately 200 miles of main pipe, 8,500 catch basins, 200 outfalls, 140 stormwater ponds and over 200 infiltration treatment practices. The City's stormwater system discharges to the Mississippi and Sauk Rivers, Plum Creek and multiple wetlands. Protection of human health, property and the environment are top priorities of this program. Stormdrain marking is fun and easy! You get to spray paint messages like "No Dumping, Drains to River" by stormdrains and clean-up the area around them. The City provides a kit and map for you to do as much as want. Volunteer as a large group or individually. See the weblink for additional information.

What We Do

It is the mission of the Stormwater Utility to fund programs that ensure the City of St. Cloud maintains compliance with the stormwater requirements of the Clean Water Act.
