Assisting with activities can involve a variety of tasks for the volunteer including transporting residents from their rooms to the scheduled activity, assisting with activity set up, getting needed supplies for the TR staff, helping staff to implement the activity, assisting with clean up, and transporting residents after the activity is over.
Activities include but are not limited to bingo, bowling, socials, parties, special events, small discussion groups, baking, music, cards/games, sing along, crafts, etc. All activities are run by staff members while volunteers are used mostly to assist. If a volunteer decides that they want more responsibility, opportunities to run their own small group activities can be arranged.
