Feeding Area Children Together (FACT)

FACT was founded by four parents in the spring of 2017. We met through school activities but united around a successful campaign to pay off the student lunch debt. We started hearing accounts of students experiencing hunger outside of school. We started to research area programs that impact hunger, analyzed data, and met with community leaders dedicated to reducing hunger in central Minnesota. We determined that a significant portion of District 742 elementary students face a gap in access to food on weekends and breaks during the school year which is not currently being met by other organizations. Through our partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community we continue to bridge this gap.

Feeding Area Children Together is dedicated to reducing childhood hunger in central Minnesota through our weekend backpack program, FACT Packs, crisis food shelf, FACT Pantry, and bi-annual, FACT Break Box initiatives.
