Reach-Up Head Start

Reach-Up Inc. provides Head Start, Early Head Start, kindergarten transition, child care and family support services for eligible children and families in Benton, Sherburne and Stearns counties in central Minnesota. Head Start provides services in partnership with families and their children, ages three to five, and includes transtion services for families through the kindergarten year. Our goal is to prepare children for kindergarten and to support parents in the role as their children's first and most important teacher. Early Head Start provides year round services in partnership with pregnant women and families with children, birth to three. Our goal is to enhance parenting skills and provide child development education. 

Reach-Up Inc. provides comprehensive education and support services that strengthen low-income families with young children. Reach-Up Inc. is recognized throughout the community and state as an early childhood model of excellence that has a lasting impact on children and families. Reach-Up Inc. has been a Head Start grantee since 1979 and and Early Head Start grantee since 1998. In those 30+ years, services to low income families more than doubled from 239 families served in 1979 to nearly 500 families currently being served in Head Start and Early Head Start.
