St. Cloud State staff, students and faculty, and St. Cloud community members creating a unified network to envision, plan, plant, tend and harvest food and flowers
What We Do
Established in 2005, the SCSU Community Garden was established to build community, promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge, provide access to land for the greater St. Cloud region, and preserve land, culture, and tradition. Our garden’s founders subsequently embarked on an interdisciplinary mission to create a
unified network of people to envision, plan, plant, tend and harvest food and flowers to meet the following goals:
• Create a beautiful green space for all to enjoy
• Foster a connection between people and the land
• Educate and expand knowledge of:
Sustainable agricultural practices
A diversity of cultural foods and flowers
Effective gardening practices processes
Food preparation
Natural environments and organic practices
