Description

Project Description:

We are requesting volunteers to help us refresh and organize our Supervised Visitation Rooms as part of United Way's Day of Caring. These rooms provide a safe, welcoming environment where children and families can spend meaningful time together during supervised visits.

Volunteers will assist with deep cleaning and organizing the spaces to create a clean, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere. Tasks include organizing toys, sanitizing toys and storage bins, moving furniture to clean underneath, vacuuming, and washing walls. This project will help ensure the visitation rooms remain safe, organized, and ready to support the families we serve.

All cleaning supplies and equipment will be provided. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing suitable for cleaning and light lifting.

Volunteer Requirements:

To ensure the safety and privacy of the individuals we serve, all volunteers must complete a confidentiality agreement and pass a background screening prior to participating. Our Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator will provide these forms and support you through the process. All requirements must be completed no later than one week prior to the project start date.

Impact Statement:

A clean, organized, and welcoming visitation space helps create a positive environment where families can focus on spending quality time together. By helping refresh these rooms, volunteers will directly contribute to a space that promotes comfort, dignity, and meaningful family connections for the children and caregivers who rely on our services.
