Stormdrain stenciling is a fun way to spread the message that stormwater runoff drains to our waterways and that dumping into a stormdrain is illegal. You will work in teams of 2-4 to clean sediment and debris away from the stormdrain, then use a stencil to spray paint the message "No Dumping, Drains to Waterway" by the stormdrains. You will be given a kit with the necessary supplies and a map of the area you will work in.
Your team will also be asked to pick up trash in the neighborhood area and clean up debris near the stormdrains you stencil. Dress for being outside and doing lots of walking. Wear clothes that you do not mind getting paint on and dirty. The provided kits do have gloves, but you may want to bring your own work gloves for cleaning around the drains.
Most groups will need to drive to get to their stormdrain marking area, so please plan accordingly. The meeting location is St. Cloud City Hall parking lot. More information will be emailed prior to the event to the registrants.
