Description:
Support Catholic Charities Emergency Services in their mission to end food insecurity by volunteering as a Food Shelf Distribution Aide. Volunteers will assist clients as they shop for groceries, ensuring a welcoming, respectful, and dignified experience. This role includes guiding clients through the food shelf, helping them select items, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized space.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist clients as they navigate the food shelf
- Help clients select food items based on their needs, preferences & household size
- Maintain order and ensure clients follow posted guidelines
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the distribution area
- Provide compassionate, respectful service to all clients
