New or used Bath and Hand Towels, Washcloths, New Twin size sheets sets, New twin encasements.  Slumberland gives us over half off if you mention it’s for Place of Hope!  These are ongoing needs that we have because we serve over 175 people each night, and we give the linens to families and singles as they move forward to permanent housing!  

Also, New blinds, Curtains, Lamps, Lampshades, LED lightbulbs, Very good dressers, and 1-ply blankets

Food Items:

Meats-especially hamburger, chicken, hot dogs, turkeys, hams, beef or pork roasts, sliced lunch meals, tuna; Fresh fruits and veggies (carrots, potatoes, celery, onions, salads); Ranch/Salad dressings; Sandwich bread; Coffee; Milk (cartons are great); Breakfast cereal; Oatmeal; Eggs; Hot chocolate; Juices; Sugar (white & brown); Creamers; Real butter; Cream cheese; Shredded or sliced cheese; Olive oil; Big cans of vegetables or fruit; Creamed soups; Macaroni; Spaghetti & sauces; Tomato sauces; Gravy mixes; Baked beans; Peanut butter; Honey; Flour; Mustard; Mayo; Ketchup; Onion powder, Seasonings & seasoning salt (unopened only); Snacks (popcorn, trail mix, apples, clementines, bananas, fruit cups, pudding cups, banana breads, pumpkin breads, fruit/meat trays, string cheese), and drinks of any kind.  We can really use snacks for after school for the kids!!

Kitchen Help

Place of Hope is looking for assistance in the kitchen to help with the evening and weekend community meals. 2-4 hour shifts available between 10:00am – 6:30pm. Healthy protocol is in place for volunteers and everyone served.

We have over 175 people we are serving each night, we feed 3 meals a day and have provided 26 meals 2 times a day for the Lincoln Center since 2020.  Over 120,000 meals a year to those who are hungry!! Grab your church or civic group, family or friends to  provide, prepare and/or serve a meal.  

Volunteers needed on a regular basis for our on-going Homeless Hospitality Outreach, Nightly Community Meal, and our Compassion Hope Family Center.  Some volunteer opportunities include prepping and serving food, cleaning, laundry, outreach assistance, construction and maintenance help, and awake overnight shelter volunteer.
