Are you passionate about helping people?  Consider becoming a Direct Care Support Volunteer for Opportunity Matters!  DCS volunteers receive extensive training to become essential players of the OMI team.  After training, you will have the opportunity to provide hands on assistance to the individuals we serve by helping them with their program goals, assisting with tasks of daily living, or taking them out into the community for afternoon of fun! Direct Care Support volunteers help out at least for 2 hours - 3x monthly and are asked to commit to a 3 month commitment.  Volunteer during the day, evening or weekend or as your schedule allows. Opportunity Matters  is a non-profit Organization that provides residential care, short term crisis services, respite care, adult day,  and supportive living services to people with developmental disabilities. Opportunity Matters is looking for a office assistant volunteer.  The volunteer is needed to help in our Administrative Offices with light office-related tasks.  General knowledge with computers is helpful for this role.

This volunteer opportunity is open to when the volunteer is available.  Opportunity Matters will provide any training that is needed for tasks.

Opportunity Matters, a local non-profit organization dedicated to working with individuals with physical and/or cognitive challenges is searching for 4 legged volunteers.  Our 4 legged volunteers are a very important part of our volunteer program by offering emotional support to our individual's served.   We are in need of furry friends to visit our day programs and our residential sites to share the love and compassion only they can bring.

If you own a furry friend who would be a great 4 legged volunteer please give us a call.  Volunteer as your schedule allows (days or evenings) as often as you would like.

Opportunity Matters is looking for a creative artist volunteer.  The volunteer is needed to paint basic food images and shapes to help decorate an individual's bedroom.  The volunteer must be friendly and able to paint basic food shapes (can of food, ketchup bottle, etc).

This volunteer opportunity is open to when the volunteer is available.  Opportunity Matters will supply the paint, brushes, etc if needed.

Volunteer(s) are needed 1 or 2x per month to entertain a group of our clients and share in their love of music. Dates for this volunteer opportunity are very flexible. Preferred evenings or weekends. Youth groups welcome!

Opportunity Matters is a local non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with physical and/or cognitive challenges. We are looking for "Volunteer Friends" for many of the individuals we serve who enjoy companionship and having someone to do fun activities such as working on a puzzle, shopping, going for a walk, or attending the movies. Volunteer as your schedule allows, with primary opportunity being in the evening and during the weekend.

Opportunity Matters is a local non-profit dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with physical and/or cognitive challenges. We are currently looking for Activity Assistant volunteers to help out with the individuals we serve when going on community outings. Activity Assistant volunteers help push wheelchairs, take pictures, and offer companionship. Outings may include; trips to the library, Humane Society, out to eat, or going to the movies. Volunteer opportunities are primarily evenings and weekends with some day hours available. 4 hour shifts are preferred but can be adjusted to the volunteer's availability.
