Volunteer: Household Supplies

Our Young Adult Program is dedicated to empowering individuals ages 17–24 who are taking the critical step toward independent living. Many of these young adults face significant financial challenges that make it difficult to procure the basic household items necessary for a healthy and secure living space. We are seeking support in the form of household supplies to help them start this new chapter with dignity, stability, and comfort.

Items needed include (but are not limited to):

Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets)

Towels and washcloths

Kitchen supplies (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, cups)

Cleaning supplies (brooms, mops, laundry detergent, disinfectant)

Toiletries (soap, toothpaste, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products)

Small appliances (microwaves, toasters, coffee makers)

Storage bins, hangers, and organizational items

Volunteer: Mentorship

Brenda’s Helping Hands NFP recognizes that young adulthood is a critical transition period filled with important decisions about education, employment, relationships, and personal identity. Our Young Adult Program is designed to support individuals ages 17–24 who are navigating life after high school, often without the consistent guidance or support they need to succeed.

We are seeking mentors to be part of this essential program, individuals who can offer time, insight, and encouragement to help guide young adults through the challenges of adulthood. Many of our participants face barriers such as unstable housing, limited access to education, past trauma, and lack of family support. A caring mentor can provide the stability, accountability, and motivation they need to stay focused on their goals and build a strong foundation for their future.
