Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who help the Alzheimer's Association provide consumer education. These volunteers deliver prepared presentations on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Align is looking for K-12 volunteers. Individuals will assist the grade level they are comfortable working with. 

The Lake Wobegon Regional Trail is Minnesota’s above-average trail.  It’s  65 miles long, 10 feet wide and paved end to end, waiting for you to explore on foot, by bike, rollerblade or snowmobile.

Adopting a mile OR TWO will assist the Parks Department in keeping the trail clean and notifying the department when there are fallen trees or other problems.

Tri-County Humane Society Donation Needs

TriCounty Humane Society is looking for the following donations: paper towels, face tissue, TP, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, liquid hand soap, dish soap and cat litter. Donations can be brought to the shelter. There is a donation box outside their front door during open hours. Currently they are open every day 12-5:00 pm.

Every weekday we provide a hot meal from a takeout restaurant for those living outside on the street in tents or in cars.- We serve it at Lake George near the warming center between 2:00 and 3:00. The cost is about $4 per person and we  have served up to 25 meals in a day.  If you are interested in providing a meal for one day that would be great. We would also like to expand it to weekends if possible.  Please call 612-868-0465 or 320-309-2952 if you would like to sponsor a day.  You get to choose the food and if you want to pick it up or have us do it. We are in need of volunteers to help prep the community lunch. This is a lite prep work and serving position, making salad, cutting fruit and or vegetables, rolling silverware, buttering buns or dishing dessert, assisting in the dining room, or filling water pitchers for the tables. Walk to End Alzheimer's – Committee Member

You will attend a two-hour orientation training with the facilitator and receive all the information you need to help families. Sisters in wheel chairs, using walkers or canes or have memory loss need help to arrive at their appointments for physical or occupational therapy, foot care and hair care. All appointments are inside our building. you need to be able to push wheelchairs, walk with Sisters using walkers and carry out a schedule.

Bring your own children for a morning of playtime while parents receive an education in ESL, citizenship and ABE. 

Volunteers are needed to lead after-school activities at BelClare Estates and the St. Cloud COP House. 4:30-6:30 pm, Monday-Thursday. Join us one or every night. Must enjoy mentoring kids and leading homework help, snack time and kids' activities. 

The position is a multi task job where you will learn and assist in many of our programs such as: Food Shelf, Community Lunch, Coat Give Away, Christmas Toy Shop. As a Volunteer program/ office assistant, will assist in the office with phone calls, calling in replacements, keeping track of the birthday calendar and sending cards.  Typing, filing and working with volunteer applications.

If you get tired of sitting and looking at a computer, you could sort coats, placing hygiene items in proper areas, make copies or stuff envelopes.  If you like to socialize, the kitchen may need help buttering buns, rolling silverware, or cutting up fruit. 

The time and shifts can be very flexible, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Generally there is a morning shift of 8:00-12:00 and afternoon shift of 12:00-4:00, and we would like a commitment of 2 shifts per week but will work the volunteers schedule of time.

As a Food Shelf helper, you would assist the client if needed for shopping in the dry goods area.  We record all weights going out and coming in.

We have openings for the afternoon shift and you can volunteer for as many shifts your schedule allows.

Food shelf openings are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday  1:00 - 4:00 pm

Fridays in the winter we are closed but still need volunteers to assist our driver as he brings in his pick ups of bread etc.  Would be morning from 9:00- 3:00 or this shift could be split.

Youth For Understanding is looking for mentors to help support high school exchange students and their host families in the St. Cloud and surrounding areas.

Mentors/Area Reps:

--Make at least a once a month contact with students and families either in person or over the phone

--Make a twice a year contact with the local school to check up on your student

--Must complete training, pass a background check and certification

As a Girl Scouts in ACTION Facilitator, you will help girls explore the world around them in our Investigation Awaits! series. Through hands-on activities, girls in kindergarten through grade four will learn how their senses combine and impact their experience of the world around them. Girls in grades 4-6 will work together to follow clues, complete puzzles, and solve the case to earn their Detective badge. 

Help girls understand what it means to be a leader who makes and difference in the world! Guide a group of girls in this 7 week after-school program for girls in Grades K-5 providing homework help, fun activities, and a healthy snack (groups meet 1 day per week for 2 hours). Using our pre-planned curriculum and supplies, a group of volunteers at each site will help girls participate in age appropriate activities focused on helping girls explore their community and their world.

Girl Scouts provides training for all adult volunteers for this program and each volunteer is paired with at least one other facilitator or group helper for each site.

The Spring 2018 Girl Scouts in ACTION series begins the week of March 19th and takes place at multiple school and non-profit partner sites throughout Central Minnesota.

Helping Hands Outreach of Holdingford is in need of volunteers who are able to provide transporation to senior adults from in and around Holdingford and St. Stephen. Times and dates vary. This usually means driving someone to a medical appointment in St. Cloud and bringing them home afterwards. You can run your own errands while you are waiting. A background check is required and paid for by Helping Hands. Mileage stipends are available if needed.
