Each month, a church or other group assists in providing additional volunteers to support the work done by regular volunteers and staff at Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf. These short-term or even one-time volunteer opportunities are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. The available shifts on the sign-up sheet below reflect our volunteer shifts and needs. Please consider joining us for a shift or two this upcoming month to see what we are all about!

BEING AN ADOPT-A-MONTH VOLUNTEER:
- You will be volunteering in the Food Shelf as a Distribution Aide, assisting customers in selecting their items and ensuring that they adhere to the amounts they can receive based on the size of their household and the signage posted. You may also be asked to assist with other warehouse tasks in order to help our programs run smoothly. This may include sorting donations, stocking shelves, or handling produce and other food.
- In general, volunteers under age 16 should be chaperoned.
- You should be dressed in comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. A sweatshirt or jacket in the winter is recommended.
- You will be shown to the break room, where you can store any belongings, create a name tag for yourself, and sign a Hold Harmless form. You will then be instructed on your role and given the basic training necessary.
