

Who We Are
The Central Minnesota Council, Scouting America serves youth through age appropriate programs: Cub Scouts (boys and girls ages 6-10) is a program that pairs youth and adults together to accomplish activities and advancements to help children grow in community service and teamwork. ScoutsBSA (boys and girls ages 11-17) is a program designed to teach new skills and gain leadership experiences. Adults serve as mentors in helping boys plan and implement program, service projects and outdoor outings. Venturing (boys & girls ages 14-20) is a high adventure program with emphasis on teamwork and challenging activities.
What We Do
It is the mission of the Scouting America to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Central Minnesota Council, Scouting America was incorporated in 1917 and has served thousands of youth and adults over the years. The council covers 12 Minnesota counties and works through Chartered Partners to bring program to area youth. The Council is lead by a 50 member Board of Directors and staff of 12. Parker Scout reservation was started in 1941 to provide outdoor experiences to Scouts of all ages.
