Who We Are

Homeless Helping Homeless is an association of homeless & formerly homeless folks & their friends in the Saint Cloud, MN. area. Our members live under bridges, in the woods, in parking ramps, garages, & cars in our community. Some of us who are better off live in shelters, our friends places, rooming houses or low-income housing. The rest of us serve as companions & advocates, journeying with our friends through their trials.

What We Do

Homeless Helping Homeless members help each other find resources for food, clothing, transportation, housing, & employment. We have no dues for membership. Our officers & volunteers are mostly fellow members trying as best we can to help each other out. We depend on in-kind donations of rides, household items, furniture, gift-cards, along with cash donations to help support our various projects or otherwise unforeseen needs.

Our members who have cars have given hundreds of rides which has enabled others to get to food shelves, community meals, shelters, job interviews, medical appointments, & housing applications. Others have been able to help deliver thousands of meals to others in need.

Our members network with each other to inform others of job openings at their places of employment or apartment vacancies in their complexes. In an emergency some will offer a couch in their place or a tent or sleeping bag. We also provide furniture & household items to those moving into apartments. We have had numerous one-on-one self-employment consultations that have already resulted in one lawn care business start-up. Our members have helped one another get cell phones, I.D.’s, & places to store their personal items.

About The Lincoln Center:

The Lincoln Center is a project of Homeless Helping Homeless that is operated in conjunction with our volunteers, staff members, & supporters. Our organization formed this refuge for those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic so our guidelines & recommended procedures have been adjusted to incorporate the guidelines recommended by the Minnesota Department of Health along with our local officials.

Individuals experiencing homelessness are some of the most oppressed individuals within our society.

The Lincoln Warming Center was created to specifically act as a resource to all those experiencing homelessness. We are working to build a center that can act as a refuge for individuals during times where the weather is inclement or when otherwise needing respite from life outdoors or otherwise beyond our doors. Our center is a point of outreach, support, & mutual aid distribution for individuals experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit and will attempt to mediate any immediate need within our organization’s means. Within our center we operate a 24/7 community snack bar available to our visitors and guests which features fresh water, hot coffee, an assortment of snacks, & meals each day to our guests and others in need.

Our center is conveniently located on Lincoln Avenue just West of Highway 10. We sit along Metro Bus route 6 (to Transit Center), & are located South of the Eastern St. Cloud Cash Wise Foods, Arby’s & Runnings. We sit North of the Lincoln Depot & are located directly across the street from the First Fuel Bank. We are directly adjacent to the East Side Oil Company & Townsquare Media.
