What We Do

True Friends is a Minnesota based non-profit organization that provides camps, respite, and programs for children and adults with disabilities (learning, physical, and/or developmental). Summer Camp and weekend respite participants engage in a variety of fun activities adapted for every ability level. Activities include: boating, fishing, swimming, bonfires, arts & crafts, music, nature, hayrides, tubing, riflery, high & low ropes courses, archery, and so much more! Our 4 camp location include: Camp Friendship in Annandale, Camp Courage in Maple Lake, Camp Eden Wood in Eden Prairie, and Camp Courage North in Lake George (near Bemidji).

True Strides at Camp Courage offers hippotherapy and therapeutic horsemanship lessons to youth and adults with disabilities. The bond between rider and horse is truly magical and our PATH trained and OT/PT certified staff are the best around.

Camp space is available to rent through Conference & Retreat. Rental opportunities are vast and range from weddings, weeklong camps, conferences, family get-togethers, quilter clubs, and so much more. Check us out for your next event!

Team Quest offers traditional team building opportunities with an intentional purpose. Groups of all ages and sizes benefit from team-building activities and challenge by choice on the low and high ropes course as our skilled facilitators teach the group through play. Great for school groups, corporate groups, athletic teams, educators, and more.
